Project Type: Mid-Rise Residential (8–10 Storeys)Position SummaryThe Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day on-site management of mid-rise residential construction projects (8 to 10 floors). Reporting to the Project Manager, the Superintendent ensures that work is executed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, coordination of trades, and hands-on site presence from excavation through occupancy.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise all on-site construction activities from start to finishCoordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections to meet project milestonesEnsure compliance with drawings, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations (CNESST)Enforce site safety standards and lead daily safety meetings and toolbox talksMonitor project schedule and proactively resolve site issues, conflicts, and delaysMaintain high quality standards and oversee deficiency correctionsWork closely with the Project Manager on progress reporting, scheduling, and logisticsEnsure site cleanliness, organization, and proper material storageParticipate in site meetings with consultants, inspectors, and municipal authoritiesPrepare daily reports, track manpower, and document site activitiesQualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5–10 years of experience as a Superintendent on residential or multi-family projectsProven experience delivering mid-rise buildings (8–10 storeys preferred)Strong knowledge of concrete structures, envelope, interiors, and finishing stagesSolid understanding of Quebec construction practices, codes, and safety regulationsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsBilingual (French required; English an asset)Valid driver’s licenseWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceVehicle or vehicle allowance (if applicable)Comprehensive benefits packageStable pipeline of residential projects on the Montreal Island and South ShoreOpportunity to work with an established and growing General Contractor
