The company delivers renovation, expansion, and new-build projects for educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and public-sector clients, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.Position OverviewThe Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities for institutional projects. This role requires strong leadership, coordination of trades, strict adherence to safety standards, and the ability to manage projects in active environments such as schools and healthcare facilities.The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in managing complex institutional construction sites.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Management & CoordinationSupervise all daily site operations and subcontractor activitiesEnsure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and schedulesCoordinate sequencing of trades and site logisticsConduct regular site meetings and toolbox talksMaintain detailed site reports and progress updatesHealth & SafetyEnforce CNESST regulations and company safety policiesMaintain a safe work environment, especially in occupied or operational facilitiesEnsure proper documentation and compliance with safety protocolsQuality ControlMonitor workmanship and ensure high-quality standardsIdentify and resolve on-site technical issuesManage deficiency lists and oversee project close-outSchedule & PerformanceWork closely with the Project Manager to maintain project timelinesAnticipate delays and proactively implement corrective measuresEnsure proper manpower levels and material deliveriesQualifications7+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in constructionProven experience in institutional or public-sector projectsStrong knowledge of Quebec construction codes and regulationsExperience working in occupied buildings (schools, hospitals) is an assetAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong leadership and conflict-resolution skillsBilingual (French required; English considered an asset)Profile SoughtHands-on leader with strong field presenceExcellent organizational and communication skillsDetail-oriented with strong technical knowledgeAbility to manage multiple trades and fast-paced environmentsSolution-driven and proactive mindsetWhat We OfferStable pipeline of institutional projects in the Greater Montreal AreaCompetitive compensation package aligned with market standardsLong-term career growth within a reputable General ContractorDynamic and collaborative working environment
