About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects in the Montreal area. The Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day on-site management, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise all on-site construction activities from start to completionCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and site personnelDevelop and maintain project schedules and short-term work plans (look-ahead schedules)Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building codes, and safety regulationsEnforce site health & safety standards in accordance with CNESST requirementsConduct daily site inspections and toolbox meetingsMonitor work quality and productivity; address deficiencies promptlyCoordinate inspections and ensure timely resolution of deficienciesMaintain accurate site documentation (daily reports, manpower logs, progress photos)Communicate regularly with the Project Manager regarding progress, issues, and risksManage site logistics, deliveries, and site accessParticipate in project meetings and client walkthroughsQualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5–10 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in commercial projectsProven experience managing projects such as office fit-outs, retail, institutional, or mixed-use commercial buildingsStrong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and building systemsSolid understanding of Quebec building codes and construction regulationsCNESST health & safety training (ASP Construction – mandatory)Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedulesStrong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skillsLanguage RequirementsFrench: mandatory (spoken and written)English: functional to fluent (for coordination with clients, consultants, or suppliers)Technical SkillsProficiency with construction management tools (Procore, MS Project, or similar – asset)Comfortable with digital reporting and documentationWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceBenefits package (insurance, vacation, holidays)Opportunity to work on high-quality commercial projects in MontrealStable and growing company with a strong project pipeline
