About the RoleOur client, a reputable General Contractor, is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the construction of an 8-storey residential project (110 doors). This is a concrete mid-rise development, and the Superintendent will be responsible for leading all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all day-to-day site operations and serve as the primary on-site representative for the General Contractor.Lead, coordinate, and supervise trades, subcontractors, and site staff.Develop and maintain the project schedule; ensure milestones and deadlines are met.Oversee site safety program, enforce compliance, and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure work is completed per plans and standards.Coordinate material deliveries, site logistics, and equipment needs.Identify and resolve site issues proactively to avoid delays.Work closely with the Project Manager to track progress, manage costs, and communicate project updates.Maintain daily site reports, documentation, and as-built records.Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to building codes and regulations.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent (or Assistant Superintendent stepping up) with a General Contractor.Proven experience with concrete residential or mid-rise projects .Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and trade coordination.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Solid knowledge of safety regulations and site management best practices.Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.Proficiency with construction management software is an asset.
