You will work in a dynamic, collaborative, and transformative environment to support your peers in delivering integrated communication plans that reflect our global business objectives.As part of our Global External Communications Centre of Expertise, you will report to the Vice President, Global External Communications. Your strategic thinking, rigorous approach, and ability to build strong media relationships will contribute directly to enhancing AtkinsRéalis’ reputation. You will collaborate with colleagues across regions and functions, building knowledge and lasting relationships.The successful candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and results‑oriented. They will anticipate stakeholder needs, propose concrete and measurable actions, and communicate effectively in both French and English.Your role
  • Draft, edit, and produce various external communication materials (key messages, press releases, social media content, speeches, video scripts, etc.).
  • Work collaboratively as part of a global team of communications and marketing professionals on regional and international projects.
  • Support the company’s reputation through the implementation of external communication strategies.
  • Contribute to issues communications, advising business units on mitigating reputational risks.
  • Build proactive and reactive relationships with media across various markets.
  • Provide strategic positioning and messaging advice, including identifying media opportunities.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance visibility for AtkinsRéalis stakeholders internationally.
  • Collaborate with internal, marketing, and creative teams to ensure message consistency and high‑quality deliverables.
  • Use effective reporting mechanisms and contribute to ongoing performance reporting for external communications.
  • Promote and apply best practices, methodologies, and tools aligned with business plan objectives.
About you
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, business, political science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in external or integrated communications (experience in PR agencies, professional services or matrixed global organizations is an asset).
  • Bilingualism (French & English). *
  • Proven media relations experience and a strong understanding of media dynamics.
  • Ability to provide actionable, high‑quality guidance to senior leaders on best practices in external communications.
  • Ability to explain complex subjects clearly for various audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Strong understanding of current affairs, business news, public policy, and the Canadian media context.
  • Proven organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in issues management.
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong resilience.
  • Ability to use AI tools such as Copilot in a corporate environment.
  • Two writing samples must be submitted with the application.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
  • Member of the Canadian or Global Leadership Team: This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as it involves collaboration with members of the Canadian or global leadership team located outside Québec.
