
Disability Specialist

- Administer a structured attendance support program to promote consistent and fair attendance management practices
- Manage non-occupational absences and medical leaves
- Coordinate and support safe return-to-work programs, including modified and transitional duties
- Liaise with associates, managers, insurers, and healthcare providers to support case resolution.
- Identify attendance trends, develop strategies to address concerns, and provide reporting on absenteeism.
- Maintain confidential, accurate, and complete records of all disability and attendance cases.
- Provide guidance and training to managers and HR colleagues on attendance, disability, and accommodation practices.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Disability Management, Occupational Health, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in disability case management, attendance programs, or related HR functions
- Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation, human rights accommodation obligations, HOODIP, and collective agreement administration
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset
