Product Specialist - Slurry PumpsWeir MineralsMississauga, ONOnsitePurpose of Role: The Product Specialist - Slurry Pumps will work collaborative with internal departments and external stakeholders to support business development, sales of products and aftermarket services, while ensuring that customer requirements are met.   • Product Knowledge: Act as Subject Matter Expert and provide direct product expertise to customers before, during and after the sales process has been completed
  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise/support relating to the application of slurry pumps within Mining/Mineral Processing systems for outside sales force, consultants and customers
  • Equipment Selection: Interpret specifications and select equipment to meet customer requirements, including the preparation of product quotations and bids for large mining equipment packages
  • Customer Support: Establish a close partnership with Sales Branches across Canada and directly interface with customers on aftermarket brownfield applications issues as they pertain to slurry pumping and transport
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering)
  • 5+ years of experience in slurry handling equipment
  • Experience with and in-depth exposure to mineral processing equipment and processes, including slurry pumps as well as mill circuits, tailings handling and other related slurry handling applications
