- Performs medical imaging procedures with excellence in image quality as outlined in the protocol/procedure manuals, ensuring procedures are completed accurately and in accordance with hospital and departmental standards
- Maintains current knowledge of and utilizes the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to view, manipulate and archive digital medical images of data in final image formation
- Operates, troubleshoots and ensures that medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepares written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results
- Maintains high standards of practice and excellence in patient care
- Conducts work while maintaining and protecting patient confidentiality
- Performs routine maintenance tests on equipment to adhere to quality control and assurance standards
- Participates in professional development, teaching, educational, research, training, safety and quality improvement activities which results in improvements in technical quality and patient care
- Understands Hospital and departmental policies and procedures to provide input for designing imaging policies and procedures that will result in improvements in technical quality
- Adhering to Hospital and departmental mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Performing cross-functional responsibilities as assigned, or requested; performing other duties related to the job classification, as required
- Medical Radiation Sciences Diploma/Degree in Radiography/Radiological Technology from a recognized program required
- Medical Radiation Technologist Designation in Radiography [MRT(R)] and registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) in good standing required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
- 3-5 years experience in an outpatient setting preferred
- Commitment to ongoing continuing education

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
