Shifts: Rotating 8 hour shifts across weekdays & evenings. On-Call shifts as needed (Casual Shifts: Must be available for all shifts. - Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to perform Interventional Radiology procedures using advanced systems and equipment in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards and departmental procedures
- Provide exceptional care to patients, families and caregivers while adhering to Medical Imaging department and UHN policies and best practices
- Effectively communicate with inter-professional and multi-disciplinary teams
- Work accurately, safely, and efficiently in a fast paced, high patient volume setting
- Participate in professional development, teaching and educational activities, and mentoring, as required
- Coordinate daily work schedule, prioritizes emergency/add-on cases, as required
- CMRITO registration
- CAMRT registration, preferred
- Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification, with maintenance of certification
- Related technologist experience in a hospital environment, an asset
- Current enrollment in/completion of the CAMRT Interventional Radiology Specialty certificate program, an asset
- Effective time management skills and ability to organize and prioritize work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated initiative and comfort with decision making including an ability to respond to changing and emergent situations
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated good judgement to ensure work is always performed in the best interest and safety of the patient and the team
