Experience: 6–8 YearsOverviewWe are seeking an experienced IT Asset Management (ITAM) professional to build and mature our software asset management capabilities. This role focuses on standards, CMDB taxonomy, ownership governance, and KRI metric development. The SAM Analyst will establish definitions, maintain CMDB taxonomy, design KRIs, and lead governance activities while collaborating closely with Procurement, Vendor Management, Architecture, CMDB, and Governance & Control teams.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain the authoritative definition of software assets in the ITAM Standard and Software KRI documentation.Define, publish, and govern CMDB taxonomy for software assets to ensure enterprise alignment.Determine in-scope software assets for Software KRIs and maintain documented lists and criteria.Exclude business applications from Software KRIs and update standards accordingly.Define completeness criteria for Software Inventory Presence in CMDB and maintain required attributes.Maintain ownership definitions distinguishing Business Owner and Technical Support roles.Document and manage the process for identifying approved software assets using Procurement, Vendor Management, and Segment sources.Develop, document, and automate software KRIs:Software Inventory CompletenessSoftware Attribute CompletenessSoftware OwnershipComplete CAP closure deliverables, including controls, process flows, and evidence packages.Collaborate with Architecture, Governance & Controls (G&C), CMDB, Procurement, and Segment IT teams to drive governance and reporting.Required Qualifications5–7+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, IT Governance, or CMDB roles.Strong understanding of ITAM/SAM processes, CMDB structures, and data quality practices.Experience with standards documentation, taxonomy creation, and KRI design.Knowledge of Procurement & Vendor Management data and approved software catalog processes.Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Preferred QualificationsCertifications: ITIL 4, ISO 19770, IAITAM CSAM/CITAM, or ServiceNow SAM/CMDB.BFSI experience with control evidence, audits, and regulatory expectations.Experience automating metrics using ServiceNow reporting, Power BI, or SQL.Top Required SkillsSoftware Asset Management (SAM)ITAM Standard and Software KRI documentationCMDB structures and data quality practicesAutomating metrics using ServiceNow reporting, Power BI, or SQL
