The Opportunity:Our client is a growing international EPC firm in the industrial water treatment space. Due to growth, they are adding to the business development team, with the opportunity to contribute in a range of areas.This role will support business growth by bridging technical engineering solutions with market-facing sales and marketing initiatives. Contribute across the full sales cycle, including lead generation, CRM management, proposal development, and execution of marketing strategies to enhance market visibility and drive new opportunities.Key Responsibilities:Identify and qualify new business opportunities across industrial and technical sectors through proactive prospecting and research.Support digital marketing efforts by managing online presence, including social media content, website updates, and search optimization initiatives.Assist the sales team by preparing technical proposals, client presentations, and quotations for prospective opportunities.Maintain and organize CRM data to ensure accurate tracking of leads, client interactions, and reporting metrics.Coordinate the development of marketing and sales collateral, including technical brochures, case studies, and product documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency with brand standards.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities.Conduct market research to support business development efforts, including identifying potential clients and industry insights.Generate and qualify leads through multiple channels such as online research, networking, and industry events.Support proposal and bid preparation, including documentation, communications, and presentation materials.Develop and execute marketing campaigns across digital platforms, including social media, email marketing, and advertising initiatives.Coordinate participation in industry events, trade shows, and conferences.Prepare regular reports on sales, marketing, and business development activities.Occasionally attend industry events to build relationships with prospective clients and partners.Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing channels and materials.Qualifications & Education:Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related technical field (e.g., Engineering or Engineering Technology).Strong ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clear and professional messaging.Experience Requirements:10+ years of experience in a sales coordination, marketing, or similar role.Background in a B2B industrial or technical environment (e.g., energy, mining, water treatment, or related sectors) is preferred.Demonstrated experience managing business social media accounts and executing digital marketing initiatives.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical and leadership stakeholders.Core Competencies:Strong organizational and project coordination skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in both technical and marketing materials.Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and take initiative.Effective interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across teams and with external stakeholders.
