Senior Litigation Paralegal Maternity Leave – (12-18 months contract) –

• Manage foreclosure files including file initiation, drafting, court processes, client and mortgagor communication, and other proceedings as required.

• Handle a high volume of foreclosure files with accuracy and efficiency.

• Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Respond to mortgagor communications in a timely and professional manner.

• Prepare drafts of litigation documents for lawyer review.

• Identify and escalate matters requiring lawyer involvement.

• Provide other administrative practice support as required.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.

• Previous paralegal experience in collections or foreclosure is strongly preferred.

• A certificate / diploma from an accredited Paralegal program.

• Working knowledge of the British Columbia Supreme Court Rules.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate in a professional, mature and courteous manner.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills.

• Ability to handle multiple assignments without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.

• A team player who can work independently and take initiative.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat.

• Experience with iPro considered an asset.

• Flexibility to work occasional overtime.
