- Managing and overseeing document production for complex, multi-party construction litigation files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines. This would include coding and listing client documents, exporting load files, importing documents produced by other parties, and providing training to lawyers and staff as needed.
- Opening and closing legal files in accordance with firm procedures.
- Diarizing critical deadlines and ensuring they are met without exception.
- Communicating professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and other staff.
- Drafting and reviewing correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
- Organizing and maintaining electronic and physical files to ensure accessibility and confidentiality.
- Providing additional support for assigned lawyers, including scheduling appointments, preparing court documents, and assisting with mediation and trial preparation.
- Initiative: A proactive approach to problem-solving, anticipating next steps, and moving a file forward.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to drafting and reviewing correspondence and other documents to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills, to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.

- Adaptability: The ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines with poise and professionalism.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, and legal software such as Worldox, Soluno or PCLaw, and IPro Eclipse or similar programs.
- A Paralegal certificate from a recognized program, with 3+ years of relevant experience; or
- A Legal Assistant diploma combined with 4+ years of experience in a litigation setting.
