- Design mechanical installations for experimental systems on flight test aircraft, wind tunnel models, and the required installations to conduct various system and structural tests during the development of new aircraft or in support of in-service aircraft.
- Perform mechanical design using CATIA V5 and Siemens NX, and produce detailed part drawings and installation drawings for the work packages under your responsibility.
- Interpret aerospace specifications and technical requirements to develop solutions that meet the assigned design criteria.
- Conduct preliminary structural stress analysis of your installations.
- Plan and monitor design schedules for projects under your responsibility, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets.
- Collaborate with experienced, dynamic, and high-performing multidisciplinary teams dedicated to project success.
- Work closely with the experimental shop and provide support to the manufacturing team as needed.
- Be actively involved in the realization of your designs by supporting the manufacturing, assembly, and installation phases.
- Play a key role within Bombardier's Experimental department, contributing to the success and execution of a wide range of unique and innovative projects.
- You hold a degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering, with relevant experience in design or a similar role.
- You have excellent proficiency with CATIA V5 and Siemens NX modeling software.
- You have hands-on experience designing equipment in an aerospace and industrial environment.
- You possess solid knowledge of structures, materials, and standard components used in the aerospace and industrial sectors.
- You have experience designing machined parts, welded assemblies, and sheet metal components, along with basic knowledge of instrumentation (an asset).
- You demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, sound practical judgment, and great flexibility.
- You are dynamic, attentive, and show a strong interest in teamwork.
- You are able to manage priorities effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards in your deliverables.
- You demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- You have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in both English and French.
- You are eligible for registration in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
