- Responsible for experimental electrical engineering of a complex nature to perform the various systems & structural tests required for new aircraft development or in-service issues as well as electrical installations for experimental flight test vehicle systems.
- Responsible for the design of engineering work packages as well as supervising the creation of detailed drawings from designers assigned to your projects
- Responsible for the design of data acquisition, power, controls/automation and instrumentation systems as well as writing technical requirements and reports
- Interpret technical specifications necessary related to aerospace domain to develop solution to meet the design requirements that will be entrusted to you
- Perform preliminary load and power analyses of your design
- Oversee Programming of PLCs, human-machine interfaces and data acquisition systems
- Responsible for planning both short- and medium-term design work packages
- Plan and adhere to project schedule deadlines while respecting allocated budgets
- Collaborate with experienced, dynamic and efficient multidisciplinary teams dedicated to projects to obtain results
- Work in collaboration with the experimental instrumentation technicians' team
- Be involved in the concrete accomplishment of your designs by supporting, as lead designer, the phases of manufacturing, assembly, installation and validation of your achievements.
- Play a vital role within Bombardier Experimental department, participate in and contribute to the success and achievement of a multitude of unique and challenging projects
- You have a degree in Electrical Engineering with fifteen (15) or more years of experience in a similar position
- You are member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- You have great relational and editorial skills in English and French
- You are eligible for registration in the Canadian Controlled Goods Directive (CGD) Program
- You have experience in test engineering, instrumentation, control panel design and instrumentation assemblies.
- You have knowledge of simulation, cockpit components and their functionality and knowledge of the various aircraft system as well as their communication protocols and data exchange processes
- You have excellent knowledge of AutoCad software, knowledge of Siemens NX/Capital is an asset.
- You have Knowledge of Rockwell PLCs and controllers, data acquisition, industrial controls and power distribution of 600Vac or less
- You have practical experience in equipment design in an industrial context and you are familiar with the CSA C22.2 No.14 standard. Knowledge of SAE AS50881, IPC / WHMA-A-620B and IPC / EIA J-STD-001C aeronautical standards is an asset
- You already have experience in a leadership role, either technical or as a group lead
- You have a strong sense of responsibilities, good practical and technical judgment and a high level of flexibility
- You demonstrate dynamism, good listening and a strong interest in teamwork
- You can manage priorities in a context of parallel, multiple and complex deliveries
- You can work under pressure to meet design deadlines
