
Human Resources Business Partner

- Partner with operations to cultivate effective work environments, drive culture initiatives, and increase job satisfaction
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers on employee relations and labor relations matters
- Collaborate with union representatives to manage collective bargaining agreements, grievance processes, and contract compliance
- Oversee salary and hourly wage planning, providing recommendations aligned with established compensation frameworks
- Work closely with HR and leadership to develop, revise, and implement HR policies and programs
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations, and internal company policies
- Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate actions to leadership
- Support cross-border HR functions, strengthening collaboration between U.S. and Canadian operations
- Partner with HR to design and implement talent management initiatives that build critical employee capabilities for long-term success
- Guide managers through annual performance appraisal processes to ensure fairness and consistency
- Lead initiatives that foster employee engagement, strengthen retention, and enhance workplace culture
- 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience, ideally in construction, manufacturing, supply chain, or oil & gas
- A bachelor’s degree in HR, Labour Relations, or a related field
- Experience in labour relations would be considered an asset
- Proven ability to coach, consult, analyze, and solve problems creatively
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in changing environments
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Oracle Cloud, JDE), and HRIS tools (UKG Pro)
- Knowledge of Canadian employment standards, compliance, and benefits programs, knowledge of US employment standards and compliance would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated client-focused mindset with a track record of building strong partnerships with Operations
- This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Calgary head office: 5055 11th St NE, Calgary, Alberta
- Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Travel across Western Canada will be required for this role
