We are proud to be partnering with an established and growing General Contractor with a strong pipeline of work across the Greater Toronto Area. With notable projects spanning transit, healthcare, education, institutional and commercial construction, this organization continues to expand as it takes on increasingly complex and high-profile builds.As their next Health & Safety Coordinator, you won't just support safety on site, you will help lead it. Working alongside an experienced team of HSE professionals and operational leaders, you will play a key role in ensuring that every project is delivered with the highest safety standards and a culture that puts people first.About YouThe successful candidate will have the following:
  • Motivation and drive to succeed in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Demonstrable experience working with a General Contractor or consultant on comparable projects
  • Experience supporting ICI or Infrastructure construction projects
  • A National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation, or the ability to obtain it
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001 safety management systems
  • A genuine passion for driving safety performance on construction sites
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and workers alike
  • Experience with infrastructure or ICI projects
  • Eligible to work in Canada
About the JobIn this role, you will work closely with project teams, site leadership, and subcontractors to ensure safety is embedded in every phase of construction. Your ability to build relationships, communicate expectations clearly, and champion best practices will help ensure every worker goes home safe at the end of the day.
  • Supporting and promoting a strong safety culture across active construction sites
  • Implementing and maintaining safety programs aligned with ISO 45001 standards
  • Conducting site inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure safety objectives are met and exceeded
  • Assisting with safety training, orientations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Working closely with experienced HSE leaders to strengthen and evolve safety programs
  • Salary in the $80,000 range, vehicle, gas card, bonus potential, and RRSP matching
