The Fleet Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance and safe operation of all company trucks, trailers, reefers, and chassis. This role ensures Lineage has the assets required to meet daily customer needs while controlling maintenance costs and maximizing equipment uptime. The manager provides leadership to the fleet team, works closely with operations, and builds strong vendor partnerships to ensure repairs and preventative maintenance are done correctly, on time, and at competitive costs.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead a safety-first culture across all fleet operations.Develop and enforce fleet policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.Plan and oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs in collaboration with Fleet Coordinators.Monitor fuel usage, performance, and maintenance spend; recommend improvements and cost-savings strategies.Audit equipment and vendor performance; ensure repair vendors meet Lineage’s standards.Hire, train, coach, and develop team members; set short- and long-term objectives.Maintain fleet records, warranties, and inventory in the Fleet Management System (FMS).Provide insights on predictive maintenance and investigate equipment failure trends.Conduct regular staff coaching sessions and build a culture of accountability, performance, and engagement.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)5+ years’ experience in fleet management, repair, or operations.Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, regulations, and safety compliance (CVSA, NSC).Licensed trailer or reefer technician experience preferred.Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced transportation or logistics environment.Bilingual English/French considered an asset.Strong analytical, decision-making, and organizational abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Fleet Management Software (FMS).Why Lineage?This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage!
