Human Resources AdvisorExecutive Director’s OfficeTemporary Full-Time Position (Two Years – Approximate start July 2026)Are you passionate about human resources and looking for a hands‑on, generalist role? We’re looking for a Human Resources Advisor who enjoys variety. In this role you will support employee relations, recruitment, compensation, and HR programs – while acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.What You’ll DoReporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will support BCSC managers with recruitment and disability management activities and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures. You will act as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR‑related matters and employee relations issues.Key ResponsibilitiesWith support and guidance from the Human Resources Manager, the key responsibilities of the Human Resources Advisor include:Employee RelationsServe as a primary point of contact for management and employees, providing advice and guidance on HR‑related matters, programs, and issues, including interpretation and application of HR policiesSupport managers with performance management, compensation/classification and attendance‑related issuesDisability ManagementManage the short-term illness and injury plan (STIIP), long-term disability (LTD) and medical accommodation cases and procedures in alignment with WorkSafeBC requirements, human rights accommodation obligations, and other relevant policies and legislationRecruitment and SelectionLead full‑cycle recruitment processes for various BCSC divisions on a regular basisProvide HR advice to managers, candidates, and employees when employee relations questions arise related to recruitment and selectionHR Projects and ProgramsSupports the HR manager and/or the CHRO on various HR projects and initiativesOther DutiesSupports the CHRO and the HR team as neededOther related duties as requiredWhat You Bring:Degree in Human Resources or a related field, plus a minimum of three (3) years of recent related experience in a human resources role, preferably in a public sector environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
