We believe in your success.Building integrity, quality, and community together.About this RoleThe Project Coordinator supports the Project Manager in the daily administration of construction projects, including maintaining documentation and tracking logs. This role ensures compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and company policies, while fostering effective collaboration with all project stakeholders. The Project Coordinator also assists in implementing processes that support successful project delivery and align with company objectives.Key Responsibilities
  • Liaison between site superintendent, office administration and project managers.
  • Provide administrative support to project managers and VP of Operations.
  • Support in preparation for construction meetings.
  • Ensuring safety obligations with clients are carried out as per the terms of the agreement and communicated to the Project Manager and Supervisors.
  • Promote company and legislative health and safety policies on all sites.
  • Manage project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors.
  • Establish and deliver mechanisms for tracking project progress and reporting to the management team via a formal communications plan necessary for success.
  • Plan all project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and micro-deliverables using the Microsoft Project software.
  • Track and distribute instructions and changes to trades and other parties who may be affected by the change. Document changes made.
  • Review, monitor, and keep up to date Official Drawings.
  • Review and track the issuance of shop drawings between trades and consultants.
  • Produce regular reports (status, escalations, etc.) on the progress of projects; deliver these reports during regular Management meetings.
  • Track all RFIs, Changes, and Instructions in spreadsheet format (or Autodesk).
  • Perform job site compliance requirements, inspections, analysis, and proper building procedure, prepare written reports and recommendations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a construction-related field.
  • Experience in a construction-related role; experience with a General Contractor is considered an asset.
  • General knowledge of shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and site instructions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret building drawings/blueprints, with strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • LEED, Gold Seal, or other green building certifications are considered assets.
Physical/Sensory Effort and Work Environment
  • You work in a loud, busy construction environment, managing multiple deadlines and providing service to various teams.
  • You stand or sit for long periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Overtime may be required based on project demands.
