We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with strong experience in Databricks and Microsoft Fabric to support a leading insurance client. This role will focus on platform implementation, security enhancements, and enabling advanced analytics and AI capabilities.Key Responsibilities

Lead Databricks Serverless implementation and remediation initiatives
Drive Databricks security enhancements and best practices
Enable and support GenAI use cases within Databricks
Support machine learning (ML) enablement on Databricks
Implement RBAC models across Databricks and Microsoft Fabric
Contribute to Microsoft Fabric enablement and SDLC processes
Set up and manage Fabric deployment pipelines
Conduct Fabric security reviews and implement improvements

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (including serverless)
Experience working with Microsoft Fabric
Solid understanding of data platform security and RBAC models
Exposure to GenAI and ML enablement in data platforms
Experience with SDLC, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines
Prior experience in the insurance domain is an asset

Contract Details

Duration: 6+ months (extension possible)
Location: Hybrid (Downtown Toronto)
Rate : 80 -90$ per hour (37.5 hrs per week) This role does not have visa sponsorship options for candidates not based in Canada .
