- Lead a team of environmental professionals to comply with environmental permits, regulations and commitments to ensure environmental protection.
- Develop, implement and optimize environmental monitoring, sampling and inspection schedules.
- Assist in the development of environmental programs and practices to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
- Coordinate and participate in stakeholder consultation programs that include local communities, regulatory agencies and the public.
- Prepare and manage environmental correspondence, presentations, reports and other related documents for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure project compliance with all environmental permits, licenses, government/agency regulations and other related legal agreements.
- Work collaboratively with different departments to develop policies and processes to meet environmental commitments.
- Develop field procedures and provide training on collecting samples and monitoring data outlined by environmental permits, regulations, and systems in accordance with sampling protocols.
- Lead by example and establish a safety culture through participation in daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings.
- Participate in the development of the Greenstone Gold Mines Environmental Management System and conduct internal audits.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience with preference to those with experience in the mining industry.
- 5+ years in a supervisory role in an environmental field.
- Experience with environmental data management and report writing.
- Strong understanding of relevant environmental legislation, standards, and industry practices in Ontario.
- Strong sense of integrity, ethics, and desire to positively impact the environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to create a positive work environment.

- Valid driver's license.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
