Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.HDR is currently seeking a Civil EIT to join our growing Water Business Group in Western Canada. This position will require an individual with a passion for challenges and working across regional boundaries while identifying and pursuing opportunities which will support HDR’s long-term growth initiatives.Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Civil EIT, we'll count on you to:
  • Assist our Senior/Intermediate Engineers preparing municipal infrastructure projects, site studies and design, contract documentation and graphic presentations,
  • Provide project engineering and task management,
  • Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage,
  • Conduct complex hydraulic and hydrologic modeling,
  • Collect, assimilate, and present data in reports, memos, and public forums,
  • Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures,
  • Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects,
  • Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects,
  • Perform other duties as needed.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field,
  • 5+ years of related experience in civil or environmental projects,
  • EIT in Alberta
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software will be an asset,
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word, AutoCAD, GIS, MicroStation a plus,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills,

The expected compensation range for this position is $63,200 - $85,500 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
