- Manage and Optimize Databases: Oversee the setup, maintenance, and tuning of our databases.
- Boost Performance: Ensure databases run efficiently with effective tuning and monitoring.
- Protect Our Data: Establish backups, disaster recovery plans, and high-security measures.
- Upgrade and Migrate: Carry out database migrations, updates, and upgrades across all environments.
- Automate Where Possible: Set up automated processes for routine tasks like monitoring and backups.
- Documentation: Keep records of configurations and processes.
- Data Safety Champion: Set up controls, encryption, and logs to make sure our data stays secure.
- Efficient Problem Solver: Jump in to solve problems quickly, keeping any downtime to a minimum.
- Reporting Expert: Provide insights and reports to keep management and clients informed.
- Collaborative Teammate: Work closely with internal IT teams to keep systems running smoothly.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years in database administration.
- Skilled with both on-premises and Azure SQL Servers.
- Experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell.
- Strong background in high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Familiar with the array of tools within the Azure family, such as SQL Managed Instance.
- Confident using SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS for various data tasks.
- Solid understanding of security practices across hybrid environments.
- Knowledge with database encryption and anonymization.
- Automate tasks and improve efficiency.
