- Assist in applying Human Factors principles, standards, and regulations to support the design and evaluation of rail and transit systems.
- Contribute to Task Analysis, Cognitive Task Analysis, and Workload Assessments under the guidance of senior team members.
- Support the execution of End User Analyses, Ergonomic Assessments, Usability Evaluations, Accessibility Reviews, Sightline Analyses, and Training Needs Analyses.
- Support the identification of potential human errors and Human Factors issues, and assist in developing HF issue registers and HF requirements.
- Assist in evaluating Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), Human-Computer Interfaces (HCI), and alarm/control systems.
- Assist in reviewing Human Factors evidence to ensure compliance with applicable HF requirements, standards, and principles, and in preparing corresponding Human Factors Analysis Reports.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Factors Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in Human Factors and Ergonomics activities
- Familiarity with HF methods such as TA, CTA, HEI, HRA, TNA, and HITL.
- Understanding of relevant HF standards and principles (e.g., ISO, ANSI/HFES, EN)
- Good technical writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in rail and transit projects is preferred
- Eligibility for P.Eng. designation is considered an asset
