- Lead the development, implementation, and evolution of Supply Ontario’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategy to support a secure, agile, and integrated digital environment.
- Define and maintain the enterprise business capability map, aligning IT investments to strategic priorities and future-state operating models.
- Provide strategic oversight and architecture direction across key domains, including cloud infrastructure, identity and access management (IAM), integration platforms, data platforms, and governance frameworks.
- Develop and align architecture roadmaps with Supply Ontario’s business transformation objectives, enabling data-driven decision-making, customer-centric service design, and scalable platforms.
- Shape and contribute to the enterprise operating model by identifying capability gaps, technology enablers, and change implications across people, process, and systems.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by preparing and delivering executive-level briefings, strategic planning materials, and architecture recommendations to governance committees and cross-ministry stakeholders.
- Lead the definition and design of a modern enterprise data platform architecture that enables analytics, interoperability, privacy, and trusted data exchange across internal and external partners.
- Translate complex business problems into strategic architecture options, guiding the evaluation and selection of enterprise technologies that meet performance, scalability, and compliance requirements.
- Support solution reviews and investment planning by assessing proposals for architectural alignment, long-term fit, and risk mitigation.
- Partner with business and IT leadership to shape strategic initiatives, define solution architecture boundaries, and ensure delivery teams are aligned with the enterprise architecture vision.
- Drive simplification and modernization of the technology landscape to improve performance, reduce cost, and eliminate redundancy.
- Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of technology governance processes, enterprise standards, and architecture practices across the organization.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or IT leadership roles within complex organizations.
- Demonstrated expertise across core architecture domains: application, data, technology, infrastructure, and security.
- Proven experience developing and operationalizing enterprise architecture strategies and frameworks, ideally in both private and public sector settings.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), data platforms, IAM, integration frameworks (API/Middleware), and modern governance practices.
- Experience defining and implementing enterprise-wide governance models, architecture standards, and technology roadmaps.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to bridge business and technology.
- Systems thinker with a transformation mindset and deep understanding of technology interdependencies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including with executive and non-technical audiences.
- Strong leadership and influencing capabilities, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams in a federated environment.
- Results-oriented, highly collaborative, and skilled at driving clarity in complex, ambiguous environments.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field is required.
- A Master’s degree and/or certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL, PMP, Azure/AWS architecture, or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) are considered strong assets.
- Enterprise Architecture Strategy Document – Defining target state, transitional states, principles, and architecture domains.
- Business Capability Model & Heatmap – Mapping enterprise capabilities to strategic priorities and identifying investment focus areas.
- Current-State and Gap Analysis – Assessing systems, platforms, data, and processes against target architecture.
- Technology & Data Platform Roadmaps – Enabling phased implementation across infrastructure, integration, IAM, and data.
- Reference Architectures & Patterns – For cloud, integration, data, IAM, and security domains.
- Governance Frameworks – Covering enterprise data governance, technology governance, and architecture compliance.
- Executive Briefings & Strategy Decks – Developed for Board, Senior Leadership Team, Treasury Board, and IT governance forums.
- Architecture Recommendations & Assessments – Supporting key initiatives such as ERP modernization, DPS, HCMS, and others.
- Operating Model Alignment Artifacts – Showing technology enablers mapped to operating model changes and capability enhancements.
