- The Senior IT Enterprise Architect/Strategist will be responsible for aligning business needs with technology solutions, ensuring compliance with standards, and contributing to enterprise architecture deliverables.
- The role involves creating technical specifications, collaborating with project teams, supporting testing, and producing architecture artifacts that align with government processes and standards.
- 10+ years leadership experience in developing and implementing technical architectures.
- 10+ years experience with at least three platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, and communications protocols.
- 10+ years experience translating business requirements into reporting needs.
- 10+ years experience developing, recommending, implementing, and managing technical architecture.
- 10+ years knowledge of Information Candidateagement principles, policies, practices, and Architecture Review Board processes.
- Extensive experience with middleware and gateways.
- Experience in structured methodologies for design, development, and implementation of applications.
- Strong background in performance considerations across different environments.
- Experience designing processes around ITIL and guiding others in this methodology.
- Proven ability to prepare conceptual, logical, and physical process/data models.
- Hands-on use of CASE tools, project management tools, and related technologies.
- Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models).
- Public sector or public safety (policing) experience is an asset.
- Create technical specifications for system development.
- XXgn and implement solutions while ensuring alignment with client standards.
- Deliver business architecture and ensure traceability to solution logical and physical architectures.
- Prepare and support PIA, TRA, and PEN TEST documentation.
- Create, review, and provide input on enterprise architecture artifacts for all checkpoints.
- XXgn and modify system and user interfaces (data and screens).
- Review test scenarios, establish traceability matrices, and ensure requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Government Services processes and standards.
- Support testing teams during system and UAT testing.
- Undertake sub-projects and special assignments as required.
- Create and validate business scenarios and use cases.
- Produce visual depictions of use cases and process flows.
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
- Awareness of emerging technologies, trends, and directions.
- Enterprise architecture experience based on Ontario Government EA processes.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Content Candidateagement (OpenText ECM).
- Experience with enterprise cloud architecture, particularly Microsoft Azure (5+ years).
- Modeling and process design expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF or equivalent) preferred.
