We are constantly looking for new ways to improve the customer experience, whether through innovative ideas or a rigorous approach.Our team is currently looking for a Compliance Advisor for a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.Here’s where you’ll be focusing:Competition Compliance Work
- Marketing Review – Legal review of all marketing collateral received (inclusive of flyers, social media, tv spots, radio scripts, web domains, direct to consumer marketing, contests)
- Support Director Legal in creation, maintenance and delivery of competition compliance training modules
- Liase with Regulatory affairs on issues regarding performance claims and claims regarding origin of products
- Prepare and review exclusivity contracts and related documentation for various Category Managers to support supplier relationships and compliance.
- Informal leadership and creation of best practices and templates. Leading formal working group towards the development of skills and sharing of knowledge
- Research and analysis for the Director legal as assigned. Clear and concise analysis of legal opinions and recommendations as to legal strategy.
- Supporting privacy portfolio as required and assigned
- Short form trademark license agreements,CIPO seraches, and responding to various regulators under Director Legal guidance.
- An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and databases
- Perfectly bilingual, English and French (The candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with peers in other provinces to develop procedures and processes to be implemented nationally. She will also have to interact regularly with her peers in other provinces, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada)
