Are you an avid Cross-Country skier who loves all things Nordic? We are looking to recruit Nordic Centre Attendants for the upcoming winter. Are you a people person who can talk with just about anyone? You will help guests with wayfinding and let them know the best place to warm up and have a beverage on the way. The candidates will also be responsible for the daily upkeep of trail signage and may be asked to assist Guest Service Staff and help with occasional trail grooming. This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.Skills you bring with you:
  • Knowledge of Nordic skiing (CANSI certification or National equivalency is an asset).
  • Experience in Nordic rental, retail, etc.
  • Willingness to learn and provide exceptional guest service to Nordic trail users.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist Nordic skiing guests with wayfinding and navigating the Nordic Trails.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and snow clearing at the entrance to the Nordic Centre, Umbrella area, and Mac Lake Cabin.
  • Assist Guest Service Staff in the Nordic Centre when rental demands in the Nordic Centre require help to provide excellent guest service.
  • Daily upkeep of Nordic Trail Signage and other signs on the Trail network (Snowshoe/Fat Bike).
  • Assist with the occasional grooming of the Nordic Trail network after snowfall events with the use of snowmobile/Ginzu or other grooming tools.
  • Interact with trail users on the Nordic Trail system and check for a valid ticket.
  • Daily shutdown of Mac Lake Cabin.
