- Supervise and lead a team of collection specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor daily collection activities to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement collection strategies to maximize recovery and minimize bad debt.
- Analyze collection data and prepare regular reports on team performance, aging accounts, and recovery trends.
- Handle escalated collection issues and negotiate payment arrangements with customers as needed.
- Collaborate with billing, customer service, and legal teams to resolve account discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to debt collection (e.g., FDCPA).
- Recommend process improvements and system enhancements to streamline operations.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in collections, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of collection laws and best practices.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP S/4 HANA preferred.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
