For this role, you can expect a salary between $95,000 – $115,000 annually, depending on experience. This is for a new vacancy.the roleAs Director, Strategy (Media Planning), you are the lead architect of the go-to-market (GTM) approach for our most complex and high-stakes accounts. You move beyond tactical planning to act as a high-level business consultant. Your mandate is to guide clients through our strategic framework, defining the “strategic thread" that connects deep consumer insights to commercial success. You are responsible for steering the strategic vision, provoking creativity, and ensuring our media solutions are inseparable from the client’s business objectives.what you’ll do
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the application of our Playing to Win framework across key accounts to define winning aspirations and the specific "Where to Play/How to Win" choices that drive growth.
  • Assessment & Opportunity Mining: Oversee rigorous analysis of the "Four Cs" (Company, Category, Consumer, and Culture) to identify untapped strategic opportunities.
  • GTM Blueprint Ownership: Design and defend comprehensive go-to-market blueprints, detailing key tasks, media approaches, channel ecosystems, and rigorous success metrics.
  • Creative & Strategic Provocation: Act as a senior provocateur, challenging the status quo and pushing internal and client teams toward bolder, more innovative, and non-traditional media activations.
  • Ecosystem Orchestration: Drive integration across multiple vendor partners and internal departments (Creative, Data, Digital) to ensure a unified and consistent brand presence.
  • Thought Leadership: Synthesize global social, cultural, and commercial trends into actionable "white papers" or recommendations that influence the client’s long-term business strategy.
  • Research & Optimization: Design bespoke research projects to fuel the planning process and establish feedback loops that allow for real-time strategic pivots.
  • Mentorship: Elevate the strategic caliber of the agency by coaching and developing more junior strategists and planners in the application of strategic frameworks.

  • Experience: 7+ years of strategy or communications planning experience within a media or creative agency environment.
  • Strategic Mastery: Expert-level fluency in putting strategic frameworks into practice
  • Consultative Mindset: Exceptional commercial maturity and the ability to speak the language of the C-suite, connecting media strategy to P&L and ROI.
  • Systems Thinking: A proven ability to align disparate parts of a media ecosystem into a singular, cohesive, and high-performing system.
  • Communication Excellence: A master storyteller who can synthesize complex data into compelling, simple, and persuasive narratives.
  • Passion for Culture: A relentless curiosity about human behavior and the cultural shifts that dictate where consumer attention is moving next.
