
Manager Maintenance

- Follow and maintains preventative maintenance schedule on all equipment and building.
- Operation of Ammonia and Glycol Refrigeration Plant, must have Class A
- Ensure proper working condition of all refrigeration and heating, regular inspection, repair and replacement of warehouse racking, equipment and fire system maintenance
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the CFC's health and safety program by promoting a safe work culture, provides employees with instruction, information, supervision and facilities to encourage ongoing safe work practices
- Co-ordinate daily activities of maintenance staff
- Prepare annual budget and capital expenditures
- Plan and schedule all equipment repairs/replacement in conjunction with purchasing as determined by approved capital budget
- Ensure service agreements with third party providers are upheld and maintained Source out contractors and suppliers to meet the criteria required to operate safe, efficient and cost effective programs
- Understand Preventive Maintenance Programs such as Verisae, Capital Asset Tracking
- Manages necessary repairs and PM's on all equipment and building.
- Manages parts inventory and re-ordering replacement parts as needed.
- Ensures completion of all daily inspections in a thorough and timely manner.
- Adhere to and implement all applicable Food Safety program requirements.
- General Understanding and adherence of Food Safety Policies or relevant Standard Operating Procedures
- All other duties as required to maintain the CFC.
- High School Diploma.
- 4th class (refrigeration) power engineer or higher, or a Class A Refrigeration Operator Certificate.
- Experience in an industrial forklift and pallet jack repair and maintenance.
- Experience in industrial battery maintenance repair and maintenance.
- Experience in welding.
- Experience in electrical repairs
- Experience working with excel spread sheets for tracking and scheduling of all battery maintenance, battery watering, battery cleaning, rack torque, plumb inspection, monthly rack inspection and store electric pallet jacks
- Ability to communicate with suppliers, contractors and team members.
- Ability to safely use required tools to perform duties assigned.
- Experience in use of Hot Work Permits.
