- Manage the planning, scheduling, and rostering of transit services, and initiate proposals for service modifications and optimization to improve customer service and operating efficiency
- Oversee the work selection/sign-up process
- Manage Rail Operations Supervisors and Drivers as required for shift coverage and as assigned
- Coordinate with the Construction Contractor to achieve desired operational outcomes
- Develop operational documentation related to rostering, scheduling, planning, and permitting
- Administer surveys to gather data on schedule changes, customer and employee satisfaction, and prepare reports to support future improvements
- Analyze ridership data and other information to determine priorities and recommend service improvements or reductions
- Evaluate requests submitted under the project agreement and follow up with appropriate staff as required
- Manage resource requirements associated with each service level or service change, and track actual resource consumption against forecasts
- Present reports on service changes, special services, and broader planning initiatives
- Use available technologies to implement KPI dashboards for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reporting
- Participate in and represent operational planning in meetings, task forces, and conferences
- Lead design and construction review meetings, ensuring operational safety and efficiency are considered in decision-making
- Analyze LRV-related data and prepare reports to support operational investigations
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as reports related to incidents or operational performance issues
- Review and authorize work permit applications, considering impacts on scheduled service
- Assist the OCC Manager in coordinating special projects and activities
- Ensure passengers and employees are treated with respect and dignity, and that accessibility requirements are met in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and AODA regulations
- Stay informed of industry trends, technological developments, and relevant legislation
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Annual salary of $90,000 to $116,000

- Strong experience in developing transit schedules and rosters using TRAPEZE, HASTUS, NEXTBUS, or similar scheduling software
- Experience integrating transit planning tools with operational systems such as ATS
- Ability to create KPI dashboards using tools such as Power BI
- Extensive knowledge of service level monitoring, service adjustments, and fleet planning/budgeting
- Strong understanding of customer needs and the role of transit services in the community
- Experience in greenfield start-up transit operations (considered an asset)
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant planning experience in a similar operations supervisory or management role (rail experience considered an asset)
