We are seeking an Italian-speaking PSW/Caregiver to provide care for our cherished mother, who's in the early stages of Dementia. She is Italian by birth and her first language is Italian. Along the path of this life transition, her mobility has been affected, but she is quite independent and likes to involve herself in day-to-day chores. However, she requires somebody who is patient, caring, and responsible enough to ensure she stays safe while performing these tasks and most probably take over these chores. The position is Live-Out and part-time, with required working hours being less than 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be available from Monday to Friday, specifically during morning and mid-day times. While the core job responsibility revolves around Dementia care, it also includes other tasks like housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, laundry, vacuuming, and ensuring a clean bathroom. Furthermore, the caregiver will be responsible for hand washing dishes and assisting our mother with walking. Fluency in Italian language is a mandatory requirement as it's important for the caregiver to be able to communicate effectively with our mother. In addition, knowledge of preparing Italian dishes and the ability to play Scopa will be considered a bonus. The potential candidate should also exhibit a readiness to work with Dementia, Arthritis, and Mobility Difficulties or have prior experience dealing with these conditions.
