
Senior Technical Analyst, Portfolio Management

- Design and build new tools that help in the process of investment fund selection and allocation in multi-asset class portfolios using Python, potentially applying optimization models
- Design, develop and maintain databases that support portfolio construction processes
- Partner with team members in the Portfolio Solutions team, other partners, and third-party vendors to deliver solutions that meet desired outcomes
- Provide suitable solutions that support and extend the usage of vendor products including MSCI and Morningstar
- Responsible for the production, communication, and presentation of relevant documentation to colleagues to facilitate knowledge transfers
- Knowledge of and experience working with Python, Power BI and VBA in investment and financial applications
- Experience and proficiency in SQL development, such as Snowflake, Oracle etc.
- Understanding of object orientated application development and the use of APIs
- Understanding of Portfolio optimization models
- Good inter-personal, communication, documentation, facilitation & presentation skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while being in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities that are conceptual and innovative
- Completed University degree (preferably in computer science, engineering or mathematics) or equivalent working experience
- 7 + years of experience in software development
- Must have knowledge and experience in developing applications for mutual fund/investment industry.
- Experience working with Python, Power BI and VBA in investment and financial applications
- Business knowledge in one or more of the following areas: asset allocation, fund of funds, fixed income, equities, investment risk
- Experience working with one or more multi-asset class risk applications (MSCI BarraOne, Morningstar Direct)
