We are excited about the opportunity to work with you and glad you want to be part of a team of talented individuals who together are changing the way the world communicates.This posting is for an existing vacancy.Requisition ID: 77237Job Description:DescriptionThe Sr Assembler performs a wide variety of electronic or electromechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in pre-production projects.This is a highly skilled assembly position requiring experience assembling and soldering electrical components, systems and assemblies.Responsibilities
  • Perform hand soldering of electronic assemblies, components and systems.
  • Works from rough schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components.
  • May perform rework and quality testing.
  • Work typically includes interaction with design, development and/or manufacturing engineering personnel.
  • Experience on components/assemblies, including PCBs and Circuit Boards is required.
Required Experience and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent, associated degree in technical field preferred.
  • Two+ years in an equipment and/or process technician role with extensive hands on experience.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor assembly processes including but not limited to die sorting, chip and wire or flip chip die attach, epoxy or solder dispense
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification
  • Experience with assembly of high power RF products preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out defined tasks independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Experience and Skills
  • Experience with manual die attach including manual dispensing and die handling
  • Experience with manual and auto wire bonding preferred
  • Experience performing soldering under microscope
  • Ability to read and work from Assembly prints and schematics
  • Minding quality and detailed work, with precision and care
#LI-SJ1The typical total targeted cash range for this role is currently CAD $28.60 - $35.13 per hour. Starting compensation will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
