- Support mechanical engineering activities for EPC projects, with a primary focus on rotating equipment packages (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines).
- Provide support for static equipment (e.g. pressure vessels, heat exchangers) as needed.
- Assist in the preparation and review of engineering deliverables such as datasheets, specifications, and technical bid evaluations.
- Collaborate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to ensure technical alignment and project requirements are met.
- Participate in site visits and support activities in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Work closely with the Mechanical Program Lead and Mechanical Department Manager, providing updates and aligning with project strategies.
- Engage with High Value Engineering Centers (HVEC) and contribute to multidisciplinary coordination.
- Support Brownfield projects and retrofit equipment evaluations.
- Participate in Management of Change (MOC) processes and contribute to multiple small projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA or eligible for registration
- 5-15 years of experience in EPC projects within the Oil & Gas or Energy sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment; experience with static equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with Major operating companies' design standards and engineering practices is an asset
- Knowledge of industry codes: ASME, API and Codes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Edmonton, with the ability to travel to site as required
