- Preparing detailed drawings based on architectural, structural, and mechanical plans using AutoCAD, Revit, and HydraCAD.
- Performing BIM coordination, 3D modeling, and participating in interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
- Positioning sprinklers and designing systems in accordance with current codes and standards.
- Reviewing, verifying, and adjusting drawings throughout the project lifecycle to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, installers, and other trades to ensure proper coordination, problem-solving, and alignment of project objectives.
- Identifying material requirements, ordering materials based on coordinated drawings using HydraList, and supporting procurement activities.
- Participating in project planning by assessing design constraints, timelines, and construction considerations.
- Conducting field surveys to gather information necessary for accurate design and installation drawings.
- Providing technical support to project teams, contributing to decision-making, and helping maintain project schedules and client expectations.
- Diploma in Fire Protection Engineering Technology or Design or High School diploma with equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of fire protection drafting experience.
- Proficiency in computer-assisted design with AutoCAD and experience with Revit.
- Knowledge of HydraCAD (an asset).
- Knowledge of standards and codes governing design and installation of automatic fire protection systems.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle.

- Salary based on experience: $80,000 – $110,000.
- 4 weeks of vacation from May 1st following 1 yearof service, 12 paid Statutory Holidays and 5 paidpersonal days per year.
