Site Superintendent (Commercial Construction)Full-Time | PermanentGrande Prairie, AB | OnsiteSalary Range: $110,000-$120,000DescriptionWe are looking for a driven and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee daily construction activities in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This position suits a hands-on professional who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is dedicated to completing projects safely, on time, and to exceptional quality standards. In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating trades, supervising on-site operations, and guiding projects to successful completion from start to finish.What You’ll Be DoingDirect and oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure alignment with project schedules, milestones, and performance objectivesPartner with Project Management and Estimating teams to proactively address and resolve design, engineering, and construction issuesCoordinate, supervise, and inspect work completed by internal crews and subcontractors to ensure quality and complianceEnforce a safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulationsPrepare and submit daily site reports, safety records, and all required documentation in a timely mannerLead site orientations for new employees and subcontractors to ensure compliance and readinessMaintain site organization, cleanliness, security, and manage after-hours access as neededReview and approve on-site personnel time tracking for accuracy and accountabilityAssess equipment requirements and ensure proper operation by qualified and trained personnelSupport the training, mentorship, and professional development of site team membersCoordinate labor and equipment resources efficiently across multiple projectsPlan, schedule, and facilitate site meetings with subcontractors and internal stakeholdersProcure and track materials, monitor delivery timelines, and ensure alignment with project scope and specificationsInspect work for quality assurance, enforce standards, and manage the resolution of deficienciesFoster a collaborative, team-oriented environment while demonstrating leadership, professionalism, and company valuesWhat You Must Have10+ years of hands-on construction experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership roleStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsIn-depth knowledge of the Alberta Building Code and construction best practicesExperience across multiple scopes, including:Framing, rebar, concrete forming and finishingSiding systems and exterior claddingThermal and moisture protection systemsMillwork and interior/exterior finishingExperience managing temporary site utilities (power, heat, lighting, ventilation)Proficiency with surveying tools, elevations, and anchor bolt placementStrong trade coordination, scheduling, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent communication skills with owners, consultants, architects, and tradesDemonstrated commitment to safety, including leading toolbox talks and site orientationsValid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstractWillingness to travel or coordinate accommodations for out-of-town workWhy Join the TeamBe part of a growing and innovative construction company with a strong reputation for qualityWork alongside a collaborative and experienced leadership teamOpportunity to take ownership of projects and make a meaningful impactSupportive environment that values safety, integrity, and continuous improvementWho Will Excel in This RoleA natural leader who leads by example and earns respect on-siteA proactive problem-solver who anticipates challenges and takes initiativeSomeone passionate about mentoring and developing othersHighly organized with strong time management skillsAdaptable and eager to contribute to a dynamic and evolving teamA team-focused professional who fosters accountability and collaborationSalary & PerksSalary Range: $110,000 – $120,000 annuallyComprehensive benefits packagePaid vacationBy applying to any TEEMA job on any portal implies entering into a business relationship with us and therefore grants TEEMA consent to send you further job updates or industry and company related information.
