Remote Flexibility: In OfficeThe OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Law Clerk to join a busy litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of dedicated civil litigation experience, strong legal drafting skills, and a thorough understanding of the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure. This role offers hands-on involvement with complex litigation matters and modern Ontario court platforms, including CaseLines and the Justice Services Online (JSO) portal.Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and organize complex civil litigation files, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines
- Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motion materials, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Complete electronic court filings through the JSO portal
- Prepare and manage digital motion and hearing materials for CaseLines
- Assist with discoveries, including document review, production, and responses
- Provide administrative support including file openings, scanning, photocopying, and filing
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Canada as a Civil Litigation Law Clerk or Paralegal
- Strong legal drafting, document review, and file management skills
- In-depth knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules
- Excellent written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Experience in mortgage enforcement is considered a strong asset
