The Geriatric Psychopharmacology Research Group at Sunnybrook Research Institute is seeking a research assistant to provide support to research and scientists in geriatric psychiatry for both investigator-initiated and industry-sponsor research projects as well as aid in the development, implementation, running and publication of research studies.Key Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines while conducting clinical research activities
Conduct and score tests and questionnaires related to cognition, mood and behaviour, functional status, quality of life, etc.
Assist with patient screening, recruitment and consent
Maintain research databases
Collect, organize, manage and enter data into paper and electronic case report forms
Liaise with investigators and other study staff
Monitor and promote the quality and integrity of data
Qualifications:The candidate will have:Required:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. life or health sciences)
Strong interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and professionally, as well as in a team environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive data information
Preferred:
Previous experience in a research setting
Completed training for Good Clinical Practice
