The OpportunityMcElhanney is seeking a highly skilled Party Chief with 3-5 years of field experience to join our Calgary Geomatics team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Project Managers to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with contractual and legal requirements.   • Field completion of various types of surveys focusing on legal surveys, municipal construction stake out, roads, structures etc., topographic surveys, high precision scanning surveys, drone flights, and Upstream Oil and Gas surveys.
  • Manage information flow from field to office and prepare clear, concise, and accurate field notes, records, and calculations.
  • Ensure implementation of quality assurance, safety, and policy compliance.
What You’ll Bring
  • Two-year technical diploma in Geomatics or Civil Engineering with at least 3-5 years of previous experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working independently with good communication skills.
  • Willing to work in various environmental conditions with varied terrain.
  • Competent with robotics total stations, Trimble GPS, and drones.
  • Experience with Underground Utility Locating and ATVs is an asset but not required.
  • Candidates should have the ability to travel and work out of town in remote areas.
  • Valid (or in progress) Class 5 driver’s license.
What Can We Offer You?The salary range for this position is $62,000 - $91,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
