He is also responsible for diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operations.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on the various pieces of equipment in the baggage sorting system and on any other equipment available to the company;
  • Perform mechanical and electrical work, such as checking motors, gearboxes, belts, roller and bearing inspections, oil changes, cleaning, etc. ;
  • Reload programs into PLCs and drives;
  • Align, calibrate the various types of sensors present in the installations;
  • Read, understand and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams of conveyor systems;
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults by identifying the causes of problems and proposing appropriate solutions;
  • Work closely with operations and the automation group;
  • Document maintenance work in accordance with established procedures, e.g. by filling in work orders in the CMMS computer system;
  • Comply with established rules and procedures (health and safety, 5S, etc.);
  • Be actively involved in continuous improvement;
  • Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities that may be requested by his immediate supervisor.
Profile required
  • College degree in Electromechanics of Automated Systems, or in Design (Mechanical Engineering Technology), or Industrial Electronics Technology, or in Manufacturing - Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanics Technology, or vocational diploma in Industrial Mechanics for Construction and Maintenance, or any related training;
  • 1 year of relevant experience in the field will be considered an asset (new graduates will be gladly considered);
  • Interest in mechanical and electrical fields;
  • Ability to use various hand tools;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Judgment and resourcefulness;
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office suite;
  • Team spirit;
  • Rigorous and methodical;
  • The position requires availability 1 weekend out of 2, 80 hours per 2 weeks, 10 hours per day;
  • Ability to travel to customers from time to time;
  • French language an asset.
