Our client, a well-established Toronto law firm specializing in Plaintiff Personal Injury, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their busy practice. This firm is known for its collaborative environment, strong support staff, and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, motions, and correspondence
- Manage and maintain client files, both electronic and physical
- Coordinate and schedule discoveries, mediations, IMEs, and other appointments
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical professionals, and opposing counsel
- Request and follow up on medical and expert reports
- Track and manage undertakings and litigation deadlines
- Prepare and manage accident benefit and tort files
- Maintain calendars and diarize key dates, including limitation periods
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and file administration
- Provide general administrative and legal support as required
- Graduate of a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program
- 3+ years of experience in Plaintiff Personal Injury
- Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Experience handling accident benefit and tort matters
- Proficiency with MS Office and legal document management systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume practice and meet deadlines
- Professional, detail-oriented, and client-focused
