- Provide strategic legal advice on employment law matters, including non-unionized workplace issues.
- Draft, review, and revise a wide range of legal documents such as employment agreements, demand letters, and termination letters.
- Stay well-versed in applicable provincial and federal laws, including but not limited to the Employment Standards Act, Canada Labour Code, Human Rights Code, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and relevant common law principles.
- Independently manage files and provide efficient, high-quality client service on complex legal issues.
- A minimum of 3-7 years of experience in employment law (non-unionized).
- A partial practice or portable book of business.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant provincial and federal laws governing employment matters.
- Strong drafting skills and experience reviewing employment-related documents.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and advise on legal concepts.
- Proven ability to manage files independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality client service.
