
Project Engineer - Linear Infrastructure

- Contribute actively to the analysis, design and reporting of water and wastewater conveyance systems, including sewers, forcemains, watermains, and associated infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, sewer and watermain design calculations, sketches, presentation material, detailed specifications, cost estimates, and reporting
- Assist the project manager and design lead in the delivery of projects from initiation to completion, including supporting the coordination of designs, production of preliminary design reports, preliminary plans, detailed plans, tender document preparation, and engineering support during construction.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., structural engineers, electrical engineers, environmental consultants) to develop integrated solutions for conveyance systems.
- Support inspectors and contract administrators for projects under construction, and review contractor's submittals for adherence to design specifications.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, feasibility study reports, and project documentation. Maintain accurate records of project progress and changes.
- Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- 7 + years of experience in the design, construction, and maintenance of water and wastewater conveyance systems, including pipelines, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation from Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
- Knowledgeable of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to water and wastewater conveyance systems.
- Familiarity with water and wastewater conveyance systems, particularly the preliminary and detail design of sewers, watermains, forcemains, rehabilitation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Ability to work effectively and independently, with little supervision, in a collaborative, and multidisciplinary team environment.
