Description
  • Communicate the restaurant vision to all team members and lead by example; inspire the team with focused vision and direction.
  • Oversee points of service throughout lunch / dinner service.
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests, team members and senior management.
  • Follow bar, beverage and wine control procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support for the restaurant - may include payroll, new hire info and other responsibilities as directed.
  • Show leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food and wine.
  • Demonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics and takes every opportunity to promote furthering education and refinement.
  • Conduct recruitment and selection, and training and development initiatives, as well as performance management and employee coaching - partner with Human Resources.
  • Use conflict resolution and problem solving skills -partner with Human Resources.
  • Assist with the tracking of sales, invoicing, and managing inventory.
  • Accurately schedule FOH staff according to projected sales and volume.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll records.
  • Strive for maximum efficiency and continual improvement of staff productivity.
  • Participate on the Health & Safety Committee, ensuring that the Occupational Health & Safety Act and WSIB procedures are being followed.
  • Ensure facility is well maintained, repaired and spotless at all times.
  • Work with Senior Management to design and implement strategies to increase sales, and productivity and decrease loss and waste.
  • Build relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Additional duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
  • Previous progressive management experience within comparable restaurant concepts
  • Experience in premiere dining environments
  • Self starter, flexible, and able to work independently
  • Ability to multitask, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast paced environment
  • Refined business acumen
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management and/or equivalent an asset
