From long-range covert surveillance missions to search and rescue operations, our MX-series systems, and the mission systems solutions they are a part of, produce stabilized high-magnification electro1-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine and ground based platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.About the RoleThis co op will begin May 2026. You will have the opportunity to engage with engineers from various departments. Your primary task will be to support systems solutions projects/programs and evaluation of ruggedized Line Replaceable Units (LRU). This role requires someone with an outgoing personality, strong communications skills and attention to detail.Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the TE team in qualification testing of Wescam product
  • Test Report generation and document management
  • Development of new software and hardware solutions to support product testing
  • Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters, spectrum analyzers, DAQ platforms, etc. to collect and analyze data for inclusion in reports.
Required Capabilities
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with various programming environments (LabVIEW, Python, C#, Matlab).
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems, optic or laser devices is an asset
  • Must be able to obtain CGP clearance and others as required by Wescam
  • Must be willing to travel to local lab facilities as required (personal transportation required)
  • Ability to take initiative and work with the team to develop solutions to varying challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, matrixed environment
  • A self-starting, hands-on, eager to work approach
  • Strong problem solving skills
Desired Education and Experiences
  • Enrollment in a Bachelors or Advanced degree in Engineering or Science program
  • Must be able to complete a 16 month Co-Op term with 12 month terms occasionally being available
