- Lead the financial reporting team to ensure accurate and timely monthly and quarterly closing processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue recognition.
- Provide expertise in production tax credits, managing claims and applications to optimize financial outcomes.
- Handle deal processing, including posting vehicle invoices.
- Manage payroll, including commissions, bonuses, and benefits.
- Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to maintain operational efficiency.
- Prepare detailed financial statements and quarterly reports in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain effective communication and streamline financial processes.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Perform inventory and manufacturer reconciliations and coordinate inventory counts
- Experience as an accountant in an automotive dealership (or similar environment)
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple financial processes effectively.
- CPA designation is considered an asset, though not required for candidates with strong relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, and full-cycle accounting.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and asset inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while driving results.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
