Legal Administrative Assistant – Litigation
Location: Vancouver, BC
Salary: $60,000 – $74,500
Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the Role
Our client, a leading international law firm with a strong presence in Vancouver, is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to join their Litigation group. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and well-supported environment.Key Responsibilities
  • Edit, format, and revise pleadings, correspondence, agreements, and legal documents
  • Manage and organize documents within cloud-based platforms and virtual deal rooms, including version tracking and blacklining
  • Prepare and initiate file documentation and correspondence
  • Maintain and organize client files, including opening and closing files
  • Manage bring forward systems and update client file lists
  • Coordinate court filings, including attending at registries as required
  • Compile, scan, and prepare court documents and briefs
  • Prepare cheque requisitions, courier packages, and coordinate deliveries
  • Liaise with internal billing teams to support monthly billing processes
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and general administrative tasks
  • Support lawyers and team members with additional administrative and project-based work
Qualifications & Experience
  • 7+ years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, preferably within litigation
  • Strong knowledge of Supreme Court of British Columbia rules and procedures
  • Graduate of a Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with document management and legal systems (e.g., iManage, SAP, Chrome River, MS Teams) is an asset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail, spelling, and grammar
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams
